september 2008, nima gorji is spending 1 month at the house of his friend babalow baba ifa leri oma in ibiza. in cuban santeria, a babalow is the father of secrets, a shaman, a spiritual guide. the philosophy of ifa was brought by the slaves from afrika, especially nigeria, to the caribbean islands. it became santeria in cuba, vodoo in haiti, condomble in brasil. the yoruba language is used in the santerias books and the ceremonies as chants. nima assisted to some ceremonies where the babalow is cleaning somones soul, energy, or aura, and establish a direct conection with a special energy called orisha. each orisha has specific attributes like a color, tools, beads, and various patterns of percussion rhythm. nima is listening to all these beats coming directly from cuba, he samples some parts, and produces a new ep : azul y verde. we are blue is a tribute to yemaya, the mother of the sea. she represents maternity, fertility, and life on earth in general. her color is blue and her number 7. the chant is performed by lazaro ross a cuban artist who died in 2005. lazaro was a legendary akpwon, or lead singer in the yoruba tradition. warriors is a tribute to oggun, another main orisha. he represents the force and the work of human kind. he is working with metal, and he always carry a knife. his color is green and his number is 3.

when surfing on places and spaces like myspace you sometimes bump into something special, a rare diamond. so we of sound architecture did when we got tipped to check out the myspace of this dutch guy named dollkraut. the following week the only music played in our office was his... when we found out to by surprise that dollkrauts music was not signed yet to any label, we did hesitate or think twice and invited dollkraut to one of our events and asked him to do an ep on our label. inspired by artists such as dave brubeck, glenn miller, pepe bradock, recloose, jazzanova and krause duo, its sounds like dollkraut mixed them all in a big shaker, adding some of his secret ingredients. serving a dish to die for.. full colour sleeve with handstamped releaseinfo on whitelabelcopy.

album sampler of the fred ventura classic cuts album release. two special tracks that have never been released before. a side is a sublime edit version by fabric resident dj craig richard of the i f track (ft fred ventura) i cut my heart out. craig made the track more suitable for modern club use, and he has been playing this edit version since months. he received so many reactions on the track of people who went total nuts (and some even cried when he played the intense and emotional song!). we thought this is the right moment to make it available for everyone. on the b side we have a slamming italo disco monster which fred produced together with ajello. super phat basslines (slightly reminding us of classic bobby orlando tracks) and typical italo disco synths. two completly different tracks both featuring the emotional vocals of fred ventura. timeless piece of dance music!
